Do you have a dear person in your life?

Yesterday, I was at my church (Abundant Life Center in New Castle, Delaware) to attend a marriage Seminar. Even after over 26 years of marriage, I came out of the august occasion with the following thoughts:

Do you have a dear person in your life…wife, husband, fiancée, fiancé, girlfriend or boyfriend?

Is she or he one person that loves you genuinely…respects you…cares about you…knows you inside/out…understands you…patient with you…tolerates your imperfections...and, of course is always proud of you?

And…she or he rarely takes a day off without calling or "texting" you…never fails to check on you out of the fear of losing you...even sometimes after you just "messed" up?

If the answers to these questions are an all-round YES, it’s in your best interest to treasure that person!

And please…return the favors.

Such individuals are very rare to find in this crazy world we live in. Never take him or her for granted…don't let such a gem slip out of your hands over minor or silly disagreements. Be very eager to apologize when you’re on the opposite side of commonsense… do whatever it takes for your relationship to last forever.

And, above all, be principled, trustworthy, faithful and appreciative.
