Sometimes,
one wonders what would have happened if the American Congress had passed a bill
say, about 30 or 40 years ago, ordering every citizen to wear a radio
transponder around their neck on 24-7 basis? Trust my American folks. This
would have been met with an uproar and outrage that would put a nuclear bomb
explosion into shame.
But what do
we see today? The citizens themselves are voluntarily giving up their individual liberty. Security agencies, all over the world, can keep tabs and track their citizens' daily activities and movements through the cell phones on their persons. In the United States, for instance, the latest the brands of the phones
(with all those “cute” gadgets) the easier the monitoring and
eavesdropping jobs of the FBI, CIA and NSA.

Is this for real?
I've been thinking about this issue too. The kind of stuff we are able to do on our cell phones--what if some secret agencies are tracking them?
Hello! If we can use a cell phone to tape other people's conversations and do a whole lots of other crazy stuff, what stops the FBI or CIA from doing same with their much sophisticated equipment??
Wow! I never thought of this thing you know. Now, I feel kind of weird with my phone..lol.
I never like to feel paranoid over anything but this piece is just about making me feel otherwise.
I guess we can look at it this way; if some little nerds can hack into the cell phones of a bunch of celebrities, what would it take a huge agency such as the FBI to track into my phone?
This ain't funny at all. All of a sudden, I'm staring at my phone since reading this article.
I agree with the author. This really is an irony. Would we have submitted to the idea of a radio transponder around our necks on 24-7 if the Congress had ordered it? Yet, we are now volunteering this same personal info and liberty because of our craze for the latest gadgets!
Now, this is what I call an awesome piece!
Personally, I have long accepted that there is no way we, as citizens, can really escape from being monitored by the security agencies.
Since 9-1-1, I guess the FBI and the rest of them have been doing some stuff with our collective liberty. But if what they are doing is also for our collective safety, I don't care!
This is very insightful!
This is why I love this blogger. He has a way of writing about certain issues that are off the wall. Please keep it up!
