Nothing Beats Education.

My most favorite choice of music is premised on the old school Nigerian genres including Juju, Apala, Sakara and a sprinkle of Fuji.

Last weekend, I meditated about many of those rich folks that Ebenezer Obey, Sunny Ade, Yusuf Olatunji, Haruna Ishola, Lefty, Kasumu Adio and a host of other musicians sang their praises to high heavens since the 1960s.

For instance, Haruna Ishola and Yusuf Olatunji did sing the praises of several Industrialists, Merchants and others from the 1960s to the 1970s. Sunny Ade has sang the praises of business Tycoons, Merchants and several others from the Sixties to date. Same goes for Obey...in fact, all the guys Obey sang their praises in his "Board Members" album of 1972 were among the first generation of Nigerian professionals in the fields of Law, Insurance, Banking etc...

But, I'm still wondering...whatever happens (or happened) to the children of all those rich people...how come we don't hear about them in any areas of great or even minor accomplishments the same way we heard about their parents?

My conclusion is: Nothing beats education, period!!!
