A Case of Two Deadly Diseases.

Blog_ebola

Known simply as D68 or Enterovirus 68, this lethal disease usually begins like a common cold in a child but it can end up sending the child to a hospital or worse. Right now, Enterovirus D68 is sweeping through the United States and causing 691 confirmed cases and at least one death so far. First discovered in California in 1962, it was promptly isolated. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the strain this year has been particularly brutal.

And there is Ebola or Ebola virus disease (EVD), a disease caused by an ebolavirus. The symptoms of this disease usually manifest between two days and three weeks after victims come in contact with its virus. It was in 1976 that the disease was discovered Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. As at 2014, the worst casualties so far have been seen in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia,

Currently, these two diseases are causing so much dread and attracting so much global attention with such a panicky fervor as to make AIDS, HIV and other diseases green with envy. And no thanks to these two horrible diseases, no one is talking about Obamacare, immigration law reform and other sensitive issues confronting the United States as nation.
