Part 3 of How Single Mothers Expose Their Daughters to Abuse.

A couple of hours later, both Hakim Wright and Lakeera Watson waltzed their way back into the apartment with assorted shopping bags. A giggling Lakeera threw the bags she was holding on a nearby couch while Wright dropped another set of bags beside the pile...
“Hey baby, why don’t you try them on here so that I can see them on you?”
“What…here?” the girl’s eyes opened wide as she asked with a blush.
“Listen…” the man insisted with a smile. “I’ve been there, done that. What else is new? I just want to see how the bra fits…”
“By staring at me in the nude?” Lakeera asked. “Alright...will you cover your eyes? I don’t want you staring at me.”
   “Okay…” Wright agreed. “No problem.”
He raised his right palm to cover his face.
Awkwardly, the girl dropped the bag and began to pull off her blouse to reveal a pair of black bra. She slowly reached for her back to unhook the bra before peeling it off her body.
“Jesus.” Wright exclaimed as he brought down his hand to gawk at the girl’s chest. “You are so cute.”
“Excuse me Hakim…” Lakeera gave a mock scream and feigned anger. “You were supposed to cover your eyes…”
“I’m sorry…” Wright said. “But baby, I can’t resist this pretty sight. Wow…you are beautiful.”
“Oh, shit…” Lakeera cursed as she blushed deeply. “Forget you, Hakim…”
Now, the girl turned her back on him in obvious reaction to his staring eyes. Covering her exposed breasts with one arm, she reached for a new bra from one of the bags.
Just then, Wright walked up to her quietly and held her from behind.
“Oh Lord...Hakim, what…what are you doing?” the girl protested feebly…
“Can you close your eyes for a minute?”
   “Okay.” the girl complied excitedly.
Within a few seconds, she felt the hands of the man on her body as he scooped her up in his arms.
“Hakim…” a startled Lakeera opened her eyes and yelled. “What is this?”
“You just wait and see…” the man answered.
He now carried the girl into her mother’s bedroom where he gently set her on the bed. Lakeera was still trying to figure out the man’s next course of action when she saw him pull down her skirt.
Stunned, the girl could only glare at the man.
“Jesus…Hakim…” she asked. “What are you trying to do?”
“You just wait…” Wright stated softly. “You’ll soon know what I’m about to do.”
He gave her a long kiss, pulled away briefly as he removed his clothes.
Now in the nude, he climbed atop her. He was kissing her forehead when, at the same time, he made to enter her.
Soon, the girl screamed in agony.
“Sorry baby.” Wright whispered. “It’s always a bit painful on a girl’s first time.”

Part 2 of How Single Mothers Expose Their Daughters to Abuse.

Lakeera Watson had just returned from school when she heard the sound of the doorbell. At the door, the teenager was surprised to see Hakim Wright, her mother’s boyfriend, through the glass partition.
Reluctantly, she opened the door to let him in…
“Tell me.” the man asked. “What really did I do to make you hate me so much?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” she answered.
Wright knew otherwise but continued to talk, this time with an enchanting smile.
“God knows I care so much about you.” Wright began to say. “And I’ve been telling myself to do whatever it takes to make you like me…I mean for us to be friends.”
He pretended to appraise her teenage body all over for a few seconds.
“See baby…” he continued to flatter her. “All you need are just some designer clothes and shoes…and you’ll be a total knockout.”
The girl blushed even as she tried to wave off the flattery.
“Listen…I really don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Again, the man resumed his pretense at appraisal, looking her all over.
“Guess what…” he stated confidently. “I know the right stores where you can get all those stuffs.”
“Oh, great…” Lakeera shook her head with a smile.
“Sure, I’m serious about that, you know…” Wright said with emphasis.
The girl stared silently at Wright. Then, she stood up. Wright did likewise.
“Hakim, why are you doing this?” she asked the man.
“Simple.” Wright said casually. “It’s because I care about you baby.”
   “And mom knows about this?”
“Oh, no. She only knew I wanted to talk with you about the incident of the other day.”
   “Okay…”
“So baby, let’s go do some shopping, can we?”
Wright made for the door while the girl slowly followed suit.

The Phenomenal Life of Maya Angelou.

Born Marguerite Johnson on April 4, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, it was her older brother who nicknamed her “Maya,” derived from “My sister” or “Mya sister.”

At a very tender age of 8 years, Maya was sexually molested by her mother’s boyfriend. She told her older brother who, in turn, passed the sad information to the other members of the family.

Incidentally, the man was jailed for only one day and one night, in spite of the gravity of his offense.

Shortly after the release of the pedophile from jail, some officers from the police department paid a visit to the Maya’s home. The little kid overheard the police officers as they informed the family that the pedophile was found dead, he had been beaten to death by some unknown assailants.

And in a sharp twist of fate, the poor kid felt responsible for the man’s death:

“I thought, my voice killed him; I killed that man, because I told his name. And I thought I would never speak again…”

She refused to speak for the next six years!
