Awesome! The bottom line of this statement by Gandhi is contained in that small word, "principle". Only a principled person will stand by their strong opinions whether the opinions are popular or not. The reason why a lot of unprincipled people tell lies is because they are scared to tell the truth to an audience that will not appreciate it.
