The robbers

If those greedy boys who attempted to rob a bank in Dubai had succeeded, by this time, their pictures will be all over the internet especially, the Instagram with the hashtags *#naGod.* *#OluwaIsInvolved.* *#BlessGod* *#ThankYouJesus.*

Those of us who will question the sudden source of wealth will be tagged losers and jealous haters.

And some who do their hustle legitimately but see no bright future in it will feel they are cursed. They will start running from one prayer house and spritualist to another...

In the meantime, the "lucky boys" will begin to take chieftaincy titles. They will receive countless invitations to all kinds of events. They will move with convoy. The police IG and commissioner will assigns tens of policemen to protect them.

The young ones will watch with admiration. They will wish to become like these guys. And why not when they see the society doesn't care about the source of anyone's wealth? And off they go committing all manner of crimes.

Some young women have graduated from prostitution which they call "runs" to eating the feaces of Arab men in Dubai. Anything for the money. Instagram and the society will know they have "arrived". Who no follow na mumu.

All these is as a result of bad parenting and moral decadence in the society. And when you talk about morals they ask you, 'according to whose standard?'.

The Trial of Galileo & Science.

Those were the days when "ignorance is bliss", a period of time when the possession of knowledge was a crime. Galileo’s crime was that he supported heliocentrism, the astronomical model in which the Earth and planets revolved around the Sun at the center of the Solar System. He was subsequently found guilty of "heresy" and sentenced to indefinite house arrest, where he would remain until his death.

When Women Mistake Lust for Love.

Is it really so very difficult for women to know the difference between lust and love? I've discussed with some women who admitted that it was a difficult thing to discern. Okay, I know from past experience that women can be very emotional and sentimental. In the mindset of almost every man (including the dumb types), all that is needed do get a woman (including the highly educated) is to flatter her, tell her what she wants to hear and do what she expects from a man of her dreams and, before you know it, she will fall...sometimes, into her death.

A few days ago, 33-year-old E’Dena Hines (Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter) was stabbed about 16 times by her 30-year-old deranged, live-in boyfriend, Lamar Davenport. The man was in the throes of a drug-induced psychosis when he committed the crime a few blocks from their New York apartment. Here was a college-educated, professionally-accomplished actress/writer in a "relationship" with a semi-illiterate, lazy, rapper wannabe who is known to indulge in cocaine, pot and booze. He has six prior arrests, including for marijuana and petit larceny.

The worst aspect of a case such as this is that his girlfriend must have known about all these vices but typically would be playing “savior”, trying to help him out of his “demons”. Now, she is dead and the young man may even get off the hook by pleading “temporary insanity”.

A few months ago, Shade Adebayo, a 24 year-old Nigerian woman was brutally shot to death outside a Target store in Montgomery County, Maryland. From the moment she started dating the 27-year-old Donald Wayne Bricker Jr., the educated young woman knew that Donald was a drop-out, barely literate white man. Yet, she continued the relationship because she was in “love”. She failed to realize a Yoruba adage that says “A child is acting dumb and the parents are only concerned about the child's life, not knowing that it's the dumbness that will kill the child.” By the time Shade realized her own dumbness and decided to end the relationship, it was too late. Donald had made a counter decision. If he could not have her then nobody would have her.

There was the recent case of a man who was arrested for turning the face of his girlfriend into a mashed potato. A few hours later, the same girlfriend showed up to bail him out. And on seeing the stunned looks of the disappointed officers, the stupid woman blurted out that she loved him blah-blah-blah!

Personally, it hurts to see or hear of too many women who are becoming victims of homicides. These murders could have been easily avoided if only some women were not so dumb as to mistake lust for love!

The Charleston, S.C. Shootings: When Man Becomes the Lower Animal.

One of the major fascinations I have for the Animal Planet TV channel is the constant insight it gives into the natures of the various species of animals in the jungle. One such knowledge is the strange fact that animals have no hatred for each other. As vicious as they are, carnivorous animals will never kill another animal except strictly for food. Unless it’s starving therefore, a lion or tiger will simply look on, with no interest, while a goat, deer or some other animal strolls by.

It’s however strange and quite confounding that it’s “a different kettle of fish” with human beings, the so-called higher animals. In addition to the natural law, Man will often also have to be compelled by several man-made laws before agreeing to live together in the same neighborhood. Yet, in spite of these applicable laws, there is no guarantee of amicability in the compelled desegregation. Filled with a nature that is lacking in love, kindness and decency, most humans are conceived, born and raised with such hateful orientations that will make monsters green with envy. Unlike the lower animals, offspring of humans must be taken through various forms of refinement in terms of trainings in etiquette, educational institutions and occupational codes and ethics. Sadly however, some of them will still escape through cracks in the refinement system and end up as dregs, thieves, psychopaths, rapists, perverts, and murderers.

One such example among the many society misfits is the man who went into a church in Charleston, South Carolina yesterday and proceeded on a shooting spree. He ended up fatally shooting 9 persons, including the pastor. Their only crime was that they were black.

It's tempting to describe the cold-blooded murderer as a dysfunctional character, one of the lowest in human species. But that will be too charitable. So, he is better described as a deranged animal of the worst kind. Except that even an animal of his type is not fit to live in a jungle.

Xenophobic Attacks in South African: A Sad Lesson in Irony.

Right now, many Africans are victims of xenophobic attacks at the hands of their black South African hosts. The reasons adduced to these heinous crimes against humanity by the black South Africans are ignorant at best. One claim is that they are being deprived of good jobs by the African immigrants. If that doesn’t sound silly, another excuse is that many of the men among the African immigrants are getting married to South African women. And for these reasons, whatever they are worth, African immigrants are being hunted down like animals in Durban, Johannesburg and other cities in South Africa by the indigenous black people.

Like many Africans across the world, my heart aches at this very unfortunate irony playing out before our very eyes. Were these not the same black South Africans for which many of us Africans sacrificed financially, morally and physically? Back then in high school, every now and then, we would contribute money from our meager pocket money for onward transmission to the African National Congress (ANC) in the fight and struggles against the then apartheid regime.

Poor global community. People, the world over, may seem nonchalant at this strange form of genocide. But I guess, just like the rest of us Africans, they too must have been finding it as a most embarrassing incident. As it is now, only the African Union leaders can best handle this sad issue. In the meantime though, it’s high time someone reminded those ignorant black South Africans that without the rest of us Africans, they would still be wallowing in a modern-day form of abject slavery by now. And back then, didn’t they have a permanent sad expression plastered on their pathetic faces? Now, they are flexing some lazy muscles at the people that should have been honored as saviors. Nelson Mandela must be rolling uncomfortably in his grave.

To The Memory of George Stinney Jr.

George Stinney Jr was the youngest person ever executed in South Carolina, in 1944. Due to his small body frame, they had to make the poor 14-year-old boy sit on top of a phone book before he could properly fit into the electric chair. It must have been a gory sight. And the agony suffered by the child could only be imagined. The execution however, has since been found to be wrong. In a December 7, 2014 ruling, a South Carolina state judge vacated Stinney's conviction in the deaths of two young girls, clearing his name.

The cold-blooded murder of this child under legal coloration was just one of the many cases of injustice that were perpetrated by some Americans against people of color, and that include the Blacks, the Native Americans, the Hispanics, the Japanese and others. These acts of evil came under descriptions of racism, prejudice and stereotype.

It’s been many years ago and the perpetrators of those heinous crimes against humanity have since been long dead and gone. There is however a spiritual law of Karma. It has no statutory limitations. And there is definitely life after death. Therefore, any wonder why this great nation is plagued with too many strange physical afflictions and mysterious omens that are not even seen in Third world nations.

10 Survival Tips for Young Black Folks in the United States.

In the wake of the ridiculous verdict of the St. Louis County grand jury on the cold-blooded shooting of Michael Brown, here are ten survival tips for young black folks to consider:

1. Stay away as far as possible from any city or town that has no favorable racial diversity in its law enforcement agency.


2. If you’re already stuck in such a city or town, avoid driving in the evening as much as possible.


3. Don’t go driving about with your car loaded with black friends. It’s a sure invitation to racial profiling at the hands of white cops.


4. If you get pulled over by a white cop, make sure to place your two hands calmly on the steering wheel as he or she approaches the car. And put a “zipper” on your lips!


5. When the cop asks for your driver’s license, registration and insurance, gently inform him or her when you’re about to reach for the required documents.


6. Make sure to say “Yes sir/ma’am” or “No sir/ma’am” to any question asked.


7. It’s DUMB to swear, curse or argue with anyone that has a gun. If you disagree with a cited violation or traffic ticket, keep your feeling to yourself. You can always go to court later to argue it out.


8. Please NOTE that cops are humans too. They have prejudices, frustrations, miserable lives and anger management issues just like other mortals.


9. Yes, this is a land of freedom and liberty. But if you rely on that slogan to confront an armed cop (legitimately or not) you may be doing so at your own peril.


10. And, lest I forget, there can never be any change in this God’s own country unless you and I make it a duty to always go VOTE at every election!

These are times that call for common sense. It’s better to appear stupid and be alive than to “show off” and end up six feet below!

What Manner of Couple Bred This Kid?

A couple of days ago inside a classroom the Bartram High School within the Philadelphia School District, a female student sat on the lap of a male student while they were both engaged in some “inappropriate business”. A teacher saw them and ordered the two to stop.

“Fuck you!” the male student yelled at the teacher and continued with his “fun”.

On hearing this “insult upon injury” profanity, the teacher ordered he student to leave the class. The student left the class but waited for the 68-year-old teacher to get out of the class. As the man did, he was sucker-punched by the crazy student. As the student fled (they always do after committing crimes), the school nurse attended to the poor teacher who was subsequently taken to a hospital.

The old teacher did something I love though. He insisted on pressing criminal charges against the student. And in the meantime, the boy has been suspended by the school authorities.

I believe it’s not everyone that is capable of being a good parent. The young man in this story did not just drop from the sky. And so, I wonder what manner of couple brought him to this world?

Anyway, this is another vindication for my decision to never attempt to be a teacher in God’s own country. If the only available job is teaching, I would prefer to be jobless than go to jail. God knew very well what would have happened if I had been the teacher in this incident.

Halloween and its Same old Risks.

Halloween, the day dedicated to remembering all that was paganic, evil and negative in the history of America is here again. This is the day the young and the old, dressed up in colorful costumes, spread out to eat candy and go into merry-making in one spooky manner or the other. But not everyone is all about the Halloween. Lurking in the many street corners and houses are some guys with ulterior motives and negative objectives.

It’s therefore advisable for parents to keep eyes on their kids, never letting them out on the streets alone.

According to national statistics, Halloween is the deadliest day of the year for pedestrians and especially, the kids. A child pedestrian is four times more likely to die on Halloween than any other day while many more are injured, usually at the hands of drunk drivers.

Parents and guardians are also advised to prevent their kids and wards from eating the collected candy until they return home. Back home, the candies should be carefully scrutinized to ensure that none of them is laced with marijuana. There are some crazy individuals and perverts who target kids with marijuana-laced candy. Incidentally, the candy looks and tastes like any other candy.

It’s not only kids that are at risk on Halloween though. Same goes for college students and especially, the females.

The first rule for these college students is for them to be alert to mischief makers who hide behind masks and costumes. Among those masked individuals on every campus are the sexual predators, rapists and other criminal-minded people. This is therefore all the more reason why students need to move about within groups of friends. Whenever a female student feels she has wandered off and finds herself alone or among total strangers, she is better-off leaving for home before it gets too late. It is also necessary for every female student to carry along a fully-charged cell phone, some cash (in case she might need a local cab) and important phone numbers.

The Halloween is not the time to accept an offer of a drink or Halloween “portion” from anyone, including so-called friends. This is to avoid a “date rape” stuff being casually slipped into drinks by some “friendly-looking” dudes dressed in the costume of a wizard, witch or ghost.

If, in spite of all these precautions, a female student still finds herself in some dangerous situation, she is strongly advised to use her vocal cord in raising alarm. A mere scream of the word “HELP” a few times can go a long way in attracting a much-needed help or assistance.

 

 

 

 

When a Laughter Became Very Costly.

What really is this world turning into? A few days ago in Gary, Indiana, a man returned home to discover that the place had been burglarized by some unknown burglar(s). Naturally, he felt violated by the incident. The man was said to be very upset and going on the street, knocking on doors of neighbors to inquire about possible identification of the perpetrators of the crime.

At that moment, a 13-year-old boy named Kobe Jones, who was sitting on a porch, reportedly burst into a raucous laughter as the victim of burglary went about yelling over his loss. And in a violent reaction to the boy’s laughter which he considered very disrespectful, the man reached for his gun and shot the boy nine times. The boy died instantly. The man has since been arrested.

In America, violent crime is down significantly since 1993, when the nation’s gun homicide rate hit its peak. But there are still neighborhoods in cities like Oakland, Detroit, New Orleans, and Newark, New Jersey, where shootings are a constant occurrence and where the per capita murder rates are drastically higher than the rest of the country. Some 3,500 American troops were killed during the eight-year war in Iraq. Within the same time period, 3,113 people were killed on the streets of Philadelphia. According to FBI data, between 2002 and 2012 Chicago lost more than 5,000 people to homicide—that’s nearly three times the number of Americans killed in action in Afghanistan…

Over the past 20 years, medical researchers have found new ways to quantify the effects of the relentless violence on America’s inner cities. They surveyed residents who had been exposed to violence in cities such as Detroit and Baltimore and noticed symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): nightmares, obsessive thoughts, a constant sense of danger. In a series of federally funded studies in Atlanta, researchers interviewed more than 8,000 inner-city residents, most of them African-American. Two thirds of respondents said they had been violently attacked at some point in their lives. Half knew someone who had been murdered. Of the women interviewed, a third had been sexually assaulted. Roughly 30 percent of respondents had had symptoms consistent with PTSD—a rate as high or higher than that of veterans of wars in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.



Experts are only now beginning to trace the effects of untreated PTSD on neighborhoods that are already struggling with unemployment, poverty and the devastating impact of the war on drugs. Women—who are twice as likely as men to develop PTSD, according to the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder—are more likely to show signs of anxiety and depression and to avoid places that remind them of the trauma. In children, PTSD symptoms can sometimes be misdiagnosed as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Kids with PTSD may compulsively repeat some part of the trauma while playing games or drawing, have trouble in their relationships with family members, and struggle in school. “School districts are trying to educate kids whose brains are not working the way they should be working because of trauma,” says Marleen Wong, Ph.D., the former director of mental health services, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention for the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Men with PTSD are more likely to have trouble controlling their anger, and to try to repress their trauma symptoms with alcohol or drugs. Though most people with post-traumatic stress are not violent, PTSD is also associated with an increased risk of aggression and violent behavior, including domestic violence. The Atlanta researchers found that civilians they interviewed who had PTSD were more likely to have been charged with a violent crime and incarcerated than other people of similar backgrounds without PTSD—but the cause and effect behind this wasn’t clear. For some people, PTSD symptoms may have contributed to their involvement in the criminal justice system, while others may have developed PTSD later. “Neglect of civilian PTSD as a public health concern may be compromising public safety,” the researchers wrote.

FOR HOW LONG WILL THIS EVIL PEOPLE BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE WITH ALL THESE COLD-BLOODED MURDERS IN THE NAME OF A RELIGION? AND IT'S SHAMEFUL HOW WE ALL MERELY LOOK AT SAD IMAGES SUCH AS THIS ONE AND THOSE BEING PERPETRATED BY THE ANIMALS CALLED BOKO HARAM IN NIGERIA. BUT WHAT DO WE DO? WE SHAKE OUR HEADS QUIETLY AND MOVE ON TO SOME OTHER STUFF...BECAUSE THE VICTIMS ARE NOT RELATED TO US.

A Special Plea to Hackers.

Why is this blog threatened as a major target of hackers? For motives or reasons best known to them, hackers have been making strenuous, continuous attempts at breaking into this blog. Just yesterday alone, 780 (seven hundred and eighty) attempts were made to hack into this blog. Why???



This is a small-scale blog that stands as a humble pedestal for the conveyance of opinions that are personal to me. The blog is relatively new on the cyberspace and it’s influence and reach are not enough to warrant the interest of any serious hacker worth his/her “salt”.



I am therefore using this medium to plead with all the concerned hackers to please leave this blog alone. Let it be!

 

 

When “Keeping it Real” is Dumb.

Have you heard these words “keeping it real” lately? These words, as simple as they look and sound, have created a lot of issues and problems for a lot of young Americans. So many of them are indeed in jails across the nation because they have no clue as to what “keeping it real” is really all about!

In many black communities, for instance, “keeping it real” among the young people is the same thing as being disrespectful, doing badly in school, dropping out of schools, speaking poor English grammar and having pride in being an ex-convict. Another form of “keeping it real” is for a guy to dress like a thug, speak like a thug and act like a thug. The irony of this stupid attitude is that when real thugs get into trouble and appear in courts, they know better than to act like thugs. In fact, they suddenly speak and dress properly. So, this means they know the right thing to do in order to be taken seriously.

It’s terribly shameful that when some other young black folks do the right things such as staying in schools, studying to acquire good education, speaking proper English, dressing decently and being respectful, they are called names. The worst is that such nice young black folks are branded as “acting white”.

But when did the resolve to do the right thing become a monopoly of the white people? As a thoroughbred African, I take a very strong exception to the idea that black people are the custodians of negative stuff while white people are solely created to do the right things. But this is the crazy message some young black folks are unwittingly sending out to the world.

 

 

 

 

 

Eyewitness to the Murder of Michael Brown.

Dorian Johnson (shown below) was a friend of Michael Brown, the 18-year-old who was fatally shot by a police officer in Fergusson, Missouri last Saturday.



On the fateful day, according to Johnson, the two young men were taking a stroll when the police officer pulled over to yell at the duo to leave the road and “get the f—k on the sidewalk”.



The young men’s explanation that their destination, the home of the victim’s grandmother (shown above) was not far, failed to impress the officer who got out of his patrol car to grab Michael Brown. He wanted to drag the young man into the car. When he finally extricated himself from the officer’s strong-arm hold, Brown was said to have broken into a run.

On seeing this, the officer pulled out his gun and began to shoot the young man. At a point, said Johnson, Michael Brown stopped to raise-up his hands before pleading that “I don’t have a gun, stop shooting!”

Again, the police officer was not impressed. Now face-to-face with the victim, he began to shoot at Brown. The officer fired several more shots even as the victim crumbled to the ground and curled into a fetal position.

The silly excuse of the affected police department was that the victim tried to force himself into the officer’s car. So far, this is the worst excuse ever given for the wrongful shooting of an unarmed African American victim. Why so? No African American man will ever attempt to voluntarily step into a police patrol car.

 

 

What Manner of Justice in California?

Condemned murderers in California have every reason to smile lately. They will no longer be executed for their crimes against the society and humanity. On July 16, 2014, a Federal judge, Cormac Carney (pictured above) ruled that California’s process of executing prisoners is so dysfunctional that it amounts to “cruel and unusual punishment” and is therefore unconstitutional. And what was the US District court judge’s reason for making this decision? Of the more than 900 people sentenced to death in that state since 1978, only 13 have been executed. Among the implications of the landmark decision of judge Carney is that upon their cold-blooded murder, victims of crimes will automatically lose their constitutional rights. For instance, the pains, agonies and deaths of the many victims of Ernest Dewayne Jones (the convicted rapist and murderer pictured above) have become insignificant. This is because, according to the judge, the method adopted by California in executing prisoners constituted a “cruel and unusual punishment”. But did anyone tell the judge that all the victims of Jones were murdered in some nice, cool manners?

The American Crime Rate.

Without two groups of people, the crime rate in the United States would have been reduced by about 50%.

The first group consists of the dumb.

The second group comprises of those who have taken the phrase, "it's a free country" too far. Sadly, some people do belong to the two groups simultaneously. And here is an example:

While parking on a street, a guy stepped out of his car, leaving behind and openly, a cash-filled wallet on the driver's seat. He was on a rush to keep an appointment nearby. 

The car was soon broken into by some unknown thief. The man soon came out to start "crying" like a baby over the theft and vandalism.

And when asked (by the law enforcement officer who responded to the man's 9-1-1 call) why he left the wallet so carelessly on a major street, he exclaimed stupidly, "but it's a free country!"

Well, the cop felt like telling the fool; Why not "tell that to the Marines"...or better still, tell that to the "crack-head" who broke into your car...that is if the thief is ever found!

Curfew for Kids in Baltimore.

By the next school year, kids in the city of Baltimore will need to abide by a new curfew. They have to be off the streets as early as 9 p.m. under legislation the City Council approved Monday.

The mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who pledged to sign the bill into law, said the measure will keep the city's children and teens safe and identify families in need of intervention. The law won't take effect until about mid-August, a delay that's expected to give the administration time to open a year-round curfew center.

"I am not willing to gamble on the lives of our children," Rawlings-Blake said. "Let me be clear: This is not a criminal enforcement act by the police. Children will not enter into the criminal justice system for merely violating curfew. "This is about taking them out of harm's way.”

Under the new curfew, children under 14 must be indoors year-round by 9 p.m. Children 14 through 16 will be able to stay out until 10 on school nights and 11 p.m. on weekends and over the summer.

Some exceptions will apply, including allowing young people to be out late if they are with a parent, or traveling home from work or going to a religious event or a recreational activity.

This is great!

How I wished every major city in the United States would adopt this type of curfew. In view of the sad murder rates of children in many inner cities, it’s high time every government at local level took a firm decision such as this to save kids.

In most cities across the nation, kids are being used as instruments of crime by some shameless individuals. For example, kids are being employed as “wagons” in whose custody drug dealers keep their dangerous wares. This is done because law enforcement officers usually don’t suspect kids in major raids. The same kids are however exposed to the many senseless shootings and killings between rival drug dealers and gangs.

Most times, one can only wonder what the parents of such kids are doing or where they are under such dire circumstances. It is expected therefore that the mayor may want to go further by imposing legal sanctions on parents whose kids are caught violating the curfews. Parents have to be held accountable for their kids.
